Housed in the Jason Wilkins Factory on Hunter Street, the Peterborough Arts Collective (PAC) has been bringing a group of local artists and art patrons together to connect and share their work with the vibrant Peterborough arts community since 2020.
To support the next generation of artists, a Youth PAC is under development to help support teens in their interest in the visual arts and provide them with opportunities to collaborate with their peers and present their work to the larger Peterborough arts community through bi-monthly art shows, curated and displayed as a team + other organized arts events.
Similar to the structure of PAC, it is anticipated that the Youth PAC will meet once per month (weekends, on a day to be determined). Costs would include $10/month for membership and an additional participation fee of $5 per group show.
If you are a teen, aged 13 to 18, and would like to be part of the Youth PAC, please forward your submission to Jason Wilkins for consideration, including a short biography, outlining what the Youth PAC community would mean to you, and 1 to 2 pieces of your work.
Throughout each year a percentage of each workshop & course registration will be set aside, and those accumulated funds will be awarded to one deserving young artist in the city of Peterborough to go towards art supplies, or equipment to aid in their artistic development.
If you know a young artist in Peterborough who would like to apply, please contact Jason Wilkins. Applications open early December.
